The number and size of grants awarded by the Foundation are directly related to the amount of money contributed.
The Foundation is happy to send out a personal and customized-to-your-specifications card to your intended recipient in the following categories: Get Well, Memorial, and Rejoice. The minimum contribution for such a card is $10.
Or, if you prefer, the same cards in a fill-in-yourself format. The minimum contribution for an individual card is $10. $15 for a "5-pack" of assorted cards - you pick the mix you want.
Another "win-win" method of contributing and at the same time acknowledging the benefits received from the services of a social worker is our Honor Thy Social Worker certificate. The minimum contribution is $25 per certificate.

Finally, for 2008, in a "win-win-win" opportunity, the Gabe W. Miller Foundation is participating in this year's Bloomingdale's The Shopping Benefit on August 27th. The Foundation will sell you a $10 ticket that will entitle you to a 15-20% savings on almost all purchases at a Chicago-area Bloomingdale's that day. The Foundation keeps the $10 and Bloomingdale's pays the Foundation another $5 for each person who shops August 27th (one ticket per person accepted). If at least 75 Friends of Gabe shop that day, the Foundation shares in Bloomingdale's day-of-sale ticket proceeds as well.

This foundation is an Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, contributions to which are tax deductible pursuant to Internal Revenue Code section 170, to the extent allowed by law, and is registered with the Illinois Attorney General.
To keep overhead expenses to a minimum, the management of the Foundation is on a 100% gratis basis by Gabe's family members and the volunteer Advisory Committee. The only monies paid to them are in reimbursement of actual out-of-pocket expenses. A copy of our annual report is on file with the Illinois Attorney General's Charitable Trust Division.
