In recognition of the day, the Ft. Collins, Colorado, Friends of Gabe refinished and buffed the floors and prepared two new signs for the Colorado Coalition of Artists (CoCOA), a not-for-profit agency that, among other projects, helps make graphic arts accessible to all Ft. Collins residents, including those to whom it might otherwise be unaffordable and unavailable.
The volunteers also participated in the annual Procession of the River Species costume parade, honoring native-Colorado river species; some costumes used were made at the CoCoA and were worn by Gabe W. Miller volunteers.
