Other observances of the National Day of Service and Remembrance across the country were held in the Detroit suburb of Berkley, Michigan; and Beallsville, Maryland, near where Gabe’s sisters, Jessica Klein and Danielle Miller Wagner, respectively, reside with their families.
Volunteers in Michigan assisted clients in obtaining groceries at Yad Ezra, the only kosher food pantry in southeastern Michigan.
Yad Ezra has provided kosher food packages to needy members since 1990. For more information about Yad Ezra, go to www.yadezra.org.
